#IFIDON'TFIGHT #WHOWILL? features a short documentary following the story of a young mother advocate from the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health seeking to bring awareness issues that young mother's face in regards to health care and accessing higher education.
#KingsbridgeArmory #Gentrification features the story of a long struggle against gentrification in the Kingsbridge area of the Bronx, honing in on the building of tenant organizing and the collaboration and alliance with with local business owners.
Al Otro Lado, #Deportee was meant to challenge the "good immigrant/good student" narrative perpetuated by dominant media, and touched upon the interaction with immigration and the criminal justice system, accessing higher education, and other issues by closely following the story of Diego, an undocumented student from El Barrio through an interpretation of Ana Tijoux's "Creo en ti."
In response to the shooting of Mike Brown and in solidarity with Ferguson, Missouri, #HandsUp #DontShoot Arts Forum features an account of the work organized by El Puente School to bring awareness of the lives lost to the increase of police shootings against black lives through spoken poetry, theater, and singing.
#YoungLordsWay features a historical account on the organizing of the Young Lords from the 1960's while commemorating and honoring the unveiling of the street "Young Lord's Way" on 111 Street and Lexington Avenue, the corner where the Young Lord's took over the First Spanish Methodist Church.
